The rug is attractive and absorbent. I had hoped for a much larger rug for the back door. So I put this one on top of the larger rug that has been there for years. It blends with the colors well and covers the worn spot on the older one.I was attempting to find a rug to match an area rug that we have on our screened porch. The color and design were a perfect match. To me, however, it looks more like a bathroom rug than an entry door mat.This rug is not a door mat. It is a bath mat. That's what I ended up using it for. I ordered it as a door mat, however it is very soft and and would be destroyed if it was used at door to wipe your shoes on. So if you are looking for a nice bath mat, get it. It also has a rubber backing which prevents it from sliding on tiles.I was very impressed with this rug when it arrived. Quite plush, especially for the price, with a pattern and look as shown in the description. I washed it for the first time today, according to the manufacturer's recommendations and found a section of the edging, where it is bound, has frayed. After one washing! Yes it can be clipped with scissors but I fear it will continue to be a problem. DisappointedThis rug is very pretty and works perfectly for what I needed--an entrance rug to a bedroom. It has a low profile which works well for that area. It feels soft and comfortable. I may order another one. It may not work well for a high traffic area, but for this area, it is great!This is perfect, but for us, it does slip. I think it's because it's in a bathroom entrance, over a 5 x 8 carpet, to protect that one from becoming soiled, and when the door is closed, it seems to pull the mat outside the room, but overall - very pleased with it.This rug is very soft and I liked the neutral colors. However, when I first washed the rug hoping washing it would remove the fold in the middle caused by shipping, I found that not only is the fold still there, but many of the threads on the edge of the rug have unraveled. I followed the washing instructions precisely, so I was disappointed that the rug was not more durable.This mat is nice, but I think it would work better as a bathroom mat than as a doormat.
