So this is basic - really basic. However, it does come with everything you need plus some.I had recently installed a different one of these and the handle wouldn't open it enough! So I trashed that and tried this one.Again, this is basic, but has instructions that are almost possible to understand, templates, and lots of other things. It comes with a strike plate (which might seem like a no-brainer, but my last one didn't and it was almost twice the price of this.)Okay, so I'm not really a door/mechanical/carpenter person - I'm a computer geek. So mechanical things I understand, but I'm not always the best at doing (like plumbing - ugh). Anyway, I'll try to use descriptive words to explain what I liked. If they aren't the correct jargon word, please forgive me.So, on the outer handle, my bottom hole was a about an inch higher than the part that goes in the door - but that part is adjustable and slid right in my bottom hole. I screwed it from the inside without any issues. It was easy to adjust that bottom screw holder thingy that goes in your door.So the inside the door top part (the part that looks like a tongue that hits the strike plate) is also adjustable depending on the depth of your hole. My hole is a little deeper and had to slide out the backend of the tongue part a little more. Easy as pie.I just put all the pieces together and - poof - it works.I have enclosed a couple of pictures. You can see I need to repaint my door now, but I expected that. Why put it on before I repainted? My last one was really old and starting to fail. Didn't want to be locked outside! So, why did I give this only 4 stars? Well, although it comes with everything you will ever need, there are just some things which I don't like. First of all, it just doesn't feel 'solid' to me. I realize that is so subjective, but hey, it is my review. The one I took off just felt solid, this one just feels a little cheap in that regard. I also wish it came with some kind of backing behind the internal knob. Again, I have a decent sized hole, as I'm assuming most people do, and this doesn't quite cover it 100%. I don't want people seeing my hole. So it needs some kind of larger backing that can be placed behind the knob.Oh, you do have to take the knob off to screw in the screws, no way around that. It comes with one of those pokey things to help you pop the knob off, it wasn't too hard to figure out (even with any directions telling me how!)Overall, it's what you would expect for a $35.99 door handle (price as of the time of this review.)I hope this review was helpful!
