I have read all 4 of Ann's series., I feel like I have new friends. Ann's writing is so superb. It captures my imagination; I can visualize each character's face in my mind. It is like going on vacation to visit your relatives. I have learned about Missouri and Door County, Wisconsin. I was an Air Force brat, so I traveled through many states. Personally, as an adult, I have lived in 5 states, Montana, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and now live in Washington state. As I have read each series, I get the sese and flavor of each state. I have learned new values, new customs, and new ways to do things. The one custom that I discussed with Ann, the wrapping a deceased loved in a quilt before they are buried. I never heard of this, but wow, I want to do this for one of my loved ones when the time comes.Right away, I wanted to go see each place and soak up the atmosphere. Each character is written so vividly, it is like you can call them on the phone to say howdy. I am sure some of the places and businesses do exist, so I want to explore them. The Christmas walk was the best. Decorating, and having people come to view how you decorated is such a fun idea. When I was older, my church did a live Nativity drive through. I loved helping the teenager who were in. They braved the cold Montana winter. The houses I would visit, out of curiosity, Joesphine's House, the antique store, and the old re-done mansion. The one place I am going to visit is Door County, Wisconsin. I want to eat at the White Gull Inn and see the peninsula. My hubby loves the ocean, I would certainly get a breath of fresh air there.Ann Hazelwood sparked my imagination, woo hoo. This is an author who will get your imagination going so you feel like you are already. I am having Hazelwood drought lander moments. I am on pins and needles until the next series. I will be reading all 4 series of her's again and again.HAVE FUN READING ANN'S BOOKS, Y'ALL WILL LOVE THE ADVENTURE.
